Introduction to Virtual Machines

Virtual Machines is the compute service in DCP for provisioning and operating virtual machine instances.

In the DCP Console, this product appears under Services → Compute → Instances.

  • Instance provisioning and lifecycle management
  • Instance metadata visibility (status, image, placement, identifiers)
  • SSH key management for access control
  • Snapshot creation and deletion
  • Backup enablement, scheduling configuration, manual triggers, and deletion
